Newington Churches Together Since its opening on Thurs 14 February, the Basics Bank at Kings Hall, South Clerk Street has seen an increasing number of clients coming along.  As I think I mentioned previously, all clients require a referral and then they are given a shopping list to tick off what they would like.  While one of the helpers is putting this together the client can have a chat with some of the other helpers + a cuppa and biscuit.     Can I thank all of you who have contributed to the big box at the back of the church.  As the numbers of clients increase, so does the necessity for more goods so please keep them coming.  In particular there always seems to be a shortage of men's toiletries - shaving foam, razors, shower gel  jam, marmalade, tins of fruit, poly bags, and tins of creamed rice.   Thanks again Alison MacLeod
