Rainbows

Wednesdays, 6:15 - 7:15pm
For girls of 5 - 7 years

We are delighted to announce that we are about to open another Rainbow unit and also a Brownie one, which will meet on Thursday evenings in the large hall. If anyone is interested in putting their daughter or grand-daughter’s name down on the waiting list, please email me at girlguidingpowburn@yahoo.com The new Thursday unit will be able to take girls straight away!

Rainbow Guides at Reid Memorial have been running for a number of years now. For those who don't know, Rainbows are 'mini-Brownies' - ie girls aged between 5 and 7. We meet weekly, and usually during school term time, for fun activities, crafts and sometimes outings.

We follow a programme called the Rainbow Jigsaw, which involves a wide range of activities and games. Being a Rainbow is all about learning, developing self-confidence, building friendships and, of course, having lots of fun!  The Rainbow Jigsaw has four areas: Look, Learn, Laugh and Love, and we build and modify our programme to include each of these key components, as well as adapting to the needs and abilities of our girls each term.

Our group is very busy, and very full!  However, if you are interested in putting your daughter or grand daughter's name on the waiting list, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Our contact details are reid_rainbows@yahoo.com  Alternatively, we have a pigeon hole in the corridor, where you can leave notes for us.
